Real-Life Dirty Dancing Resort? Yup, It’s A Thing

Dorathy Gass

Nobody will be putting Baby in the corner this summer at Kellerman’s Mountain House. The hotel located in Pembroke Virginia is offering Dirty Dancing fans an experience that even Johnny Castle himself would admire. It’s the real-life ‘Dirty Dancing’ resort, and visitors are welcome to visit and celebrate the film, that is turning 30 years old this year. The Mountain House happens to be the site where the movie was actually filmed and to celebrate the flick’s milestone, they are offering a plethora activities for Dirty Dancing fanatics everywhere.

So, for all you Baby and Johnny wannabes out there (or simply just fans of the film), staying at the resort would be an experience of a lifetime!

So, what can one expect at the Dirty Dancing hotel? Should you decide to make the trip to Virginia, a weekend package gets you:

All three meals, throughout your stay, dining at Harvest
A walking tour of Dirty Dancing
A scavenger hunt, themed after the movie
Group dance lessons (obviously)
A dance party (what’s the point of lessons without some dancing) at Mary’s barn. Lifting your partner in the air is not a requirement to attend; still, carrying a watermelon may be.

An itinerary for the entire weekend, already planned for guest.

MSN advised that fans can check out all the areas where some of the most famous scenes from the movie were filmed. In fact, visitors can also check out the spot where Johnny and Baby practiced their lift to perfect their legendary dance sequence which was profiled at the end of the movie.

It is being reported that dates in 2017 are selling up and quick, so if you are a fan of Dirty Dancing and have some vacation time left in the year … this is an opportunity. You certainly do not want to miss out on having the time of YOUR life.
