Great news for those who are traveling in and around the Orlando, Florida area in the distant future (especially those with plans to head to Universal)! The Universal Orlando Resort (UOR) recently confirmed plans around a new hotel on site. Dubbed Aventura, this is the sixth hotel for the UOR.
In collaboration with Loews, the Aventura Hotel at Universal will be ready for the public in just about year, with a scheduled date of sometime in 2018. With 16 stories in total, the structure is being the dubbed as the tallest hotel on Universal’s resort in Orlando.
Executives for the company added some additional details about the new hotel during London’s World Travel Market recently, stating that the hotel will have 600 rooms, bar on the rooftop (as well as terrace) where visitors will be given an awe-inspiring look from above of the Universal theme park, as well as Volcano Bay water park, which is nearby.
Travel Press reported that much like the Cabana Bay resort, Aventura will work into a value price listing and give the Universal resort a total of 6,200 rooms on site once it is built. Still, Universal Orlando Resorts has an ultimate goal of a 10,000-room occupancy when it comes to their resort, so it seems like the organization may have more work to do; and Aventura may just be the tip of the proverbial hotel iceberg when it comes to this mission.
As other hotels located on the resort, one of the prime perks of staying at Aventura will be early park entry for visitors. Other attractions for the hotel include exclusive food bazaars on site, as well as a large pool area that will also facilitate movies for guests, where they can enjoy a good outdoor flick while splashing around in the water.
The good news is: reports are indicating that the ground has already been broken for this venture. The bad news? We will have to wait at least another 12 to 15 months before guests can start booking it to the hotel. As the old saying goes, good things do come to those who can wait for them!
