Like Kids And Traveling? Here’s A Gig For You!

Dorathy Gass

For those of you who enjoy children (other than your own that is) and love to travel, you may want to read on. A couple in the U.S. with three kiddos of their own are currently looking for someone they can pay to travel the globe with them for one year. Sounds too good to be true? It may very well be. They are looking for a nanny who doesn’t mind the idea of homeschooling their kids, cleaning up a bit, packing, and of course rolling up their sleeves to cook as well. The couple also have stated that skills in photography would also be a plus. The nanny should also be confident, flexible, and not afraid of adventure.
Sounds intriguing enough!

MSN reported that Derek and M’Kenzie Tillotson want to pay their nanny a wage of approximately $1,200-$1,500 each month to take care of their five-year-old, three-year-old, and four-month old darlings. Hailing from Salt Lake City, some of the perks of the job include 14 days off during the Christmas break and about one or two days off each week. The couple also promises said nanny will have a couple of hours during the day to themselves. Then of course, there’s the travelling bit. They also plan on taking care of the nanny’s travel expenses, lodging requirements, and food needs as well.

The Tillotson family plan on visiting Hawaii, Asia, New Zealand, and Europe as part of a year of traveling around the world. They are leaving this July and their first destination is New York City!

The couple launched their nanny search via a YouTube video to fully outline where they plan on going, the responsibilities the nanny would have, and offered a small insight on the personalities of their three adorable offspring. So far, the video has garnered 7.5 million views on Facebook.

Interestingly enough, the couple have also already received some applicants who are more than interested in diving into this traveling nanny role. One commenter, with an Early Childhood Education Studies Bachelor’s degree, stated that the nanny role sounded great … but almost too good to be true. Another poster and potential applicant boasted themselves as a videographer/photographer, and teacher with three years in-class experience. They go to add that they were once a Bavarian dancer and currently have nothing on their plate … no children, relationships, etc. Well, this just might be a perfect match!
