Dorathy Gass

For the first time ever, Seabourn will be going to Cuba after gaining the okay to cruise to the island. Seabourn will set sail to Cuba beginning the winter of 2019.

Travelweek advised that this marks the third Carnival-brand cruise to get the approval from Cuba to sail around the island.

Seabourn will leave from Puerto Rico, San Juan, and Miami. Everything kicks off with the Seabourn Sojourn heading out on a 12-day journey, leaving from Miami on November 4th of next year.

Travellers can pick from four different itineraries with five separate departure dates. Eleven, 12 and 14-day cruises will see five Cuba ports within the season, with about three to four on every itinerary. Five ports that are included within these cruises are: Cienfuegos, Punta Frances, Antilla (Nipe Bay), Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and Isla de Juventud.

All of the cruises include stops overnight in Havana, where travelers can see the UNESCO World Heritage Site for its 500th anniversary celebration.
