Who wouldn’t love the opportunity to visit Moscow for a day? Well, for those who are interested, this summer, Costa Cruises will be providing exclusive excursions to Russia’s capital, when they launch their new Costa Luminosa cruises. Available during August 2016, the itinerary has been entitled the ‘Jewels of the Baltic’, and Costa will offer these trips, launching from Stockholm.
Breaking Travel News reported that stopping at Helskinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, and then returning to Stockholm, travellers aboard the Costa Luminosa cruise will be offered a unique opportunity to visit Moscow, via a high-speed ‘bullet’ train; which will take about four hours’ time to reach the capital of Russia. Breakfast will be provided during the travel.
‘Moscow for a day’ offers a Kremlin tour, as well as a visit to the Armory Museum, St. Basil’s Cathedral, and time to explore the Red Square. The day ends with a dinner aboard the bullet train, and then back to St. Petersburg.
While the one-day packages do sound magnificent, travellers can also choose from a two-day excursion known as ‘Super Russia’; which entails their Moscow visit, as well as a St. Petersburg’s tour as well. This guided tour will offer the area’s most well-known tourists’ attractions, including a visit to St. Isaac’s Cathedral, and Winter Palace. The excursion will also take in sites like the Peter & Paul Fortress, prior to heading to the famous Hermitage. At the Hermitage, travellers can take in all wonder of art and expression within one of the largest museums around the globe, during a guided tour that will take approximately two hours to enjoy.
The best part? Travellers who participate in the Moscow trips will not have to worry about a visa, as the tourist visas are included within the tour and excursion price, and can be booked the day before it launches.
