Contiki Releases New Asia Program In 2018 Due To High Demand

Seems like the 2018 Asia Program is gaining momentum for Contiki as the company has recently launched ‘In-Depth Discoverer’ as part of the initiative, which happens to be a new ten-day trip to India.

Referred to as ‘Southern Spice’, the trip was created due to the high demand response Contiki was receiving from its 12-day ‘Eternal India’ itinerary; a trip that debuted last year. As per the company, travel has increased to the country, year in and year out, thanks to the e-Tourist Visa, as well as high demand from millennials.

Over the ten-day excursion, visitors will experience all the cultural delights of ‘Southern Spice’ visiting Chennai through Pondicherry, as well as Mudurai, Kumbakonam, Kumbakonam, Periyar, Cochin, and Kerala Backwaters. The trip highlights an overnight exclusive stay on a houseboat, a rickshaw ride to Madurai’s Meenakshi Temple, a martial arts performance within Kalaripayattu, visits to a silk weaver’s home, tea factory, and spice plantation, as well as a school for bronze casting. ME Time Optionals gives Contiki customers the opportunity to go on a Sunset Boat Cruise while in Cochin. It also gives the women travelers a chance to dive into the culture by donning authentic Indian wear (sarees), where the men can wear dhotis while in Kumbakonam, as well as the experience to participate in a family dinner and cooking demo while visiting Periyar.

The 2018 Asia Program offered by Contiki provides travellers with four extraordinary styles of accommodation, including: beachside resorts, central hotels, ‘Special Stays’ such as floating raft bungles and jungle trees houses. To boot, traditional travel experiences are offered via rickshaws, bullet trains, and tuk-tuks to get from ‘point A’ to ‘point B’ while visiting India.

Contiki travelers can also feel safe and in good hands thanks to the company’s Trip Managers, Drivers and a group of Local Guides with them every step of the way, to ensure they are getting the best destination experience possible.

Travelweek advises that there are other trips Contiki offers via their Asia Program including ‘Big Indochina’ and ‘China Adventure’ options.
