Family-friendly resorts are all the rave these days, as parents are opting to take their kids to these all-inclusives to enjoy some family fun and make travel memories together. It truly turns into some of the best vacations and with the all-inclusive elements, the value that these travel packages have can be tremendous for a family looking to have a unique experience with their holiday.

As such, Travelweek reports that it’s no surprise an adults-only Dominican Republic Bahia Principe resort will soon be changing into one focused on families, come May of this year.

Located on Samana’s island of Cayo Levantado, the adults-only Luxury Bahia Principe resort will start welcoming kids in a couple of weeks. As per its updated portfolio classification, this will be Bahia’s only luxury treasure experience resort to turn family friendly.

Helen Montijano, Bahia Principe VP of Sales & Marketing in the United States and Canada chimed in on the transition stating that the one-hotel island provides a perfect setting for families to escape to, with two private beaches available. She also added that the decision to turn the hotel from adults-only into one that welcomes kids is to assist in providing an expansive offering to the area.

Montijano noted that in addition to the now-kid-friendly resort, Bahia Principe has three additional properties within Dominican mainland, which includes: Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa, with a wide selection of activities off site; Luxury Samana, the hotel and resorts’ second luxury property with adults-only restrictions; as well as Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo, another family-centric resort within the region that offers family master suites and family junior suites.

Montijano added that each of the resorts has its own personality, but all come with the commitment to incredible service, superior quality, and top-tier amenities.

Visitors to all the brand’s DR mainland properties also gain access to Bahia Principe Village, an activity area the adds some shopping, along with local crafts, and nighttime entertainment.
