There are many people in the world that seek out freedom in it’s most basic form. They want to shed out of the clothing that speaks of conformity and get back into nature. It’s often a dream for people to go backpacking around the world. Why? Because it makes them feel free and adventurous in a world where we can feel constrained by society and from day to day work. Sometimes it’s good to just get out there and be one with nature and see if you’re man (or woman) enough to handle life without cellphones and pagers and a computer screen. I have compiled a list of the best backpacking trips so you can begin your own.
Torres del Paine National Park is a hike of about 52 miles with gorgeous views all around you. You have rock cliffs, glaciers and amazing clear blue lakes. It usually takes 5-10 to master depending on what you are going for but well worth the time spent. You can camp right alongside glaciers and be amongst nature and the wildlife. You don't need a guide and it's great for all skill levels. You have the option of staying at the hostel or simply pitching a tent in the park.
