Flying even for pleasure can be a trying day of events. Getting ready to board an aircraft for an international flight is something totally mind-blowing if you’re not prepared. Some flights can last over thirty hours, and really any journey over five hours is worth a solid traveling routine.
Check out these tips to make your trip a lot less stressful and a bit more enjoyable.
Never, ever presume that the seat you purchased is the “end all be all” of seating. In fact, on long flights people are much more adaptable knowing they are all stuck together as passengers for the foreseeable next day or so. Take advantage of your new seatmates by asking to switch seats for one that suits you better. If that is too aggressive for you, ask the flight attendant if you can swap with a seat that is empty. You’d be surprised at how many seats that are window or aisle ones up for grabs because the traveler sitting in it didn’t want that seat when they purchased their flight. Try it!
